About Me

Time TO INTRODUCES MYSELF

It's me, Amber 李坤

In China, every family has a theme. For me, my family’s theme is, 脚踏实地 “down-to-earth” and 笨鸟先飞“stupid birds fly first.” The first concept of being “down-to-earth” comes from a Chinese idiom, which means to take every step with stability. The second idiom is related to always being self-prepared in any situation. I prefer practical action over debate by mouth. I believe that doing can educate more in reality than saying. Because of this pragmatic approach, I am a hard worker. In the process of creation, the ways of collecting information and applying it to my designs are my special weapon.

As a visual translator and communication designer, I like to solve problems from a multicultural perspective. Translating from one media, and from language to another, visual language is my profession. While communication is very abstract, it also has a definite existence. Every connection—word, and even punctuation—have a profound meaning. I respect any cultures and their opinions. As I continue to expand on every possible solution to a situation, I am confidently learning and growing in the process.
